Pink Sari Inc (PSI)
Pink Sari Inc (PSI) is a not-for-profit organisation with a strategic priority to lessen the impact of cancer in South Asian/Indian subcontinental communities.
Our activities provide community members with information and support to improve their knowledge and awareness of certain types of cancer and benefits of early detection.

We work with South Asian communities for raising their awareness and improving their knowledge about early detection of some identified common cancers.
Our History
The origin of Pink Sari Inc. was The Pink Sari Project. This project was conceived by Multicultural Health Communication Services in 2014, with funding from Cancer Institute NSW, to raise awareness about breast cancer screening amongst the Indian and Sri Lankan communities because the screening rates were comparatively lower in these communities compared to the state average.
The awareness campaign, run in collaboration with other south Asian community organisations, successfully ran for two years, till 2016, and was instrumental in increasing the breast screening rates by 17%, amongst these communities.
When the funding period concluded in 2016, to maintain the momentum of the success of this awareness campaign, the project was formally handed over to the south Asian community women who had volunteered in the Pink Sari Project, to start an organisation of their own and continue the work of the project. The Pink Sari Inc. was thus launched in October 2016.

Pink Sari Inc. is governed and operated by a team of dedicated volunteers of South Asian background, from diverse language groups.

We are guided by a think tank of advisory members who bring their professional knowledge and personal experience to Pink Sari Inc.
Our Valuable Volunteers
A small team of volunteers passionate about our cause supports us in our various activities.
Pink Sari Inc. acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we work and live and pay our respects to their Ancestors and Elders past and present and emerging. This land was, is and will always be Aboriginal land.
